Penny Munn, Executive Director
Penny Munn is a woman who brings life and energy to the senior housing industry. Since the beginning of her career in senior living in 1994, she boasts an extensive list of accomplishments, and has developed an intimate understanding of the senior market and its challenges. Munn brings with her a distinctive brand of vibrancy and dedication to broaden and execute processes, thus returning personality to a personal business.
Penny has a degree in nursing and holds a RCF Administrator license. Her passion for is evidenced by her devotion to the senior population with a background, which includes experience as Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility, an Assisted Living Administrator, an Independent and Assisting Living Regional Manager, and a Full Service Resort Retirement Living Executive Director.
Penny Land, Business Office Manager
Penny oversees the financial operations at Acacia Springs and serves as the staff human resources coordinator. She is originally from North Carolina and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. In 2005, Penny began working in the senior living industry as the Business Office Manager at Heritage Springs and started with Acacia Springs in 2009. She loves working with seniors and enjoys all the stories they have to tell. Before making the move to the senior living industry, she managed physician offices for twenty years.
Penny enjoys spending time with her son Justin and her two schnauzers Coco and Bella.
Kevin Snyder, Community Outreach Director
After earning a Gerontology degree in 2010 Kevin Snyder moved to Las Vegas from Southern California to pursue a career in Senior Living. His grandmother was his inspiration and prior to moving he spent every Friday afternoon with her for five years. Once in Vegas, Kevin took a job as night janitor at a senior living community and moved up into management positions. He joined the Acacia Springs team in January 2016.
Kevin enjoys traveling the world, history and spending time with his family and friends.
Chrystal Cerda, LPN, Health Services Director
Originally from Seattle Washington, Chrystal moved to Las Vegas in 2012. She began her career in nursing in 1972 as a nursing assistant in long term care and received her nursing degree in 1980. Since receiving her license, she has worked in both long term facilities and residential communities. Prior to relocating to Las Vegas she was an administrator for two small residential care facilities and for the past two years she has been dedicated to working with seniors in a memory care setting.
Caring for seniors is her life-long passion and she has always found it to be a deeply rewarding career choice. In her spare time she helps her sister create and sell jewelry and she relaxes by crocheting baby blankets and afghans. Chrystal also has a wonderful husband, daughter and five amazing grandchildren.
Hoden Mussa, Activity Director
Hoden joined the Acacia Springs team in 2015 and brings with her many years of experience working with seniors. She was born in Ethiopia but moved from East Africa to Davis, California and then eventually settled in Atlanta, Georgia where she discovered her passion for helping seniors stay active. A move to Las Vegas brought her to us and we are very fortunate to have her on our team. In her free time, Hoden enjoys spending time with her family, especially her daughter Iman. She also loves to travel which she does every chance she gets.
Dave Ramsingh, Dining Services Director
Dave was born and raised in The Island of Trinidad where he began working in the dietary department of Pan American Airlines at an early age. In 1981 he moved to America where he embarked on his culinary career as the Lead Cook at the Peddie School. From there he became Sous Chef for Hyatt Hotels, Executive Chef for the Christian Science Foundation and Room Chef at the Palms Casino Resort. Dave began his senior living dietary career at Acacia Springs and also spent some time as Food Services Director for Pacifica Senior Living. He is pleased to be returning to Acacia Springs and our residents are thrilled to have him back! Dave specializes in Caribbean, American and International cuisine.
Anthony Perez, Building Services Director
Tony was born and raised in New York but he moved to Las Vegas in 1992 where he launched his career in maintenance & facilities engineering. He has 20+ years of extensive knowledge and experience in building services and Acacia Springs welcomed him to the team in 2016. He is responsible for managing the planning, directing and overseeing of building operations, including coordinating personnel and all aspects of operation, repair, maintenance, and construction of our overall community interior and exterior.
Tony enjoys relaxing by his fresh water fish aquarium. Additionally Tony has an amazing wife, two daughters, a son, and two grandsons.
